Editorial standards

Insurhi publishes insurance data and claims research under documented editorial standards: named review, cited sources, disclosed affiliates, and a public corrections log.

Related: IRF methodology, Corrections log, Funding & independence.

Independence & conflicts

  • Insurhi does not sell insurance, bind coverage, or file claims on behalf of readers.
  • Carriers and partners cannot purchase rankings, placement, or favorable IRF dimension scores.
  • Affiliate relationships, when present, are disclosed inline and do not change editorial order or IRF weights.
  • Editors recuse themselves from reviews where a material personal or financial conflict exists.

Source requirements

  • Coverage research cites policy forms, carrier disclosures, or regulator filings—not marketing summaries alone.
  • Claims playbooks reference documented FNOL requirements, denial patterns, and escalation paths.
  • Statistics and market claims must trace to a named, verifiable source or be labeled as editorial estimates.
  • We do not publish anonymous carrier quotes presented as verified pricing.

Review & attribution

  • Guides and playbooks carry a named `reviewedBy` editor and `updatedAt` date before publication.
  • Material updates trigger re-review when carrier forms, regulations, or claim workflows change.
  • IRF scores include `scoredAt` and `methodologyVersion` on every rated product and provider.
  • Case studies are anonymized; no reader-identifying information is published without consent.

Corrections workflow

  • Readers may report errors to editorial@insurhi.com with the page URL and supporting detail.
  • Material factual corrections are reviewed against source documents within 48 hours.
  • Published corrections are logged at /corrections with date, scope, and affected URLs.
  • Typos and non-material clarifications may be fixed silently with an updated `updatedAt` timestamp.

What we do not guarantee

  • Insurhi content is educational research—not legal, financial, or insurance advice.
  • IRF scores are editorial ratings, not regulator grades or mystery-shopper audits.
  • Published premiums and turnaround figures may differ from your individual quote or claim experience.
  • We do not guarantee claim approval, payout amounts, or policy availability in your state.
